Hunter Buffington
Hunter Buffington is an industrial hemp policy and supply chain expert who initiated her career in sustainable development before focusing on the emerging hemp industry in 2013. Her experience in the application of open systems to create sustainable development and climate action plans in Fort Collins and Colorado gives her a unique understanding of food systems, agriculture and emerging industries. Hunter is excited to bring these experiences and skills to the agriculture sector with a renewed focus on sustainability, conservation and developing resilient agriculture systems. Hunter utilizes her experience working with regulators, policy makers, businesses, farmers and agriculture producers to implement strategies to develop the hemp industry both domestically and globally creating partnerships with agriculture and industry to drive profit through stewardship and innovation.
Hunter is also well known for her leadership on hemp as animal feed; guiding the Hemp Feed Coalition to its first submission for hemp fed laying hens and two successful notices for hempseed meal and hempseed oil to bed to chickens and horses in Kentucky and Texas. Hunter is currently the Chairperson for the Colorado Department of Agriculture Hemp Advisory Committee, the Vice President of the Association of Western Hemp Professionals, a member of the National Industrial Hemp Council Government Affairs Committee and a Board member of the Federation of International Hemp Organizations, where she co-chairs the sustainability committee. By working with hemp farmers, processors, regulators and policy makers, Hunter’s goal is to influence policy that creates a thriving hemp industry that benefits people, the planet, and pockets.

Tillery Sims
Tillery is a 5th-generation Texan who grew up on her family farm. She managed a 2,000-acre farming operation with her husband of 30 years until opening Sims Land Services in 2012. As a trained landman, Tillery specialized in title research, ownership reporting, and lease negotiation for the company. Leveraging her agricultural background and research skills, she organized farmers to create a trade association representing Texas farmers interested in the potential of industrial hemp food and fiber.Serving first as the Executive Director and now as a member of the Board, Tillery has grown the association's reach to an international level. A gifted communicator with an intuition for the needs of people and organizations, Tillery lends her unique skills and talents to worthy projects. She enjoys tackling projects requiring a quick understanding, creative problem solving, and connecting the right people that bring success to her clients.
Tillery and her husband, Doug, are blessed with 5 children, 2 of whom have gifted the family with wonderful spouses.
Tillery was recently selected to join the XVIII Cohort of the prestigious Governor Dolph Briscoe Jr. Texas Agriculture Lifetime Leadership Program.

Jessica Scott
Jessica is a lifelong resident of the Midwest where agriculture has always been part of daily life. Her career began in marketing and business development for natural food product companies, quickly evolving into working with startup hemp companies. With over a decade of experience, Jessica's skillset allows her to improve supply chains, develop novelty products in a high regulatory environment and refine best business practices and strategies. As a copywriter and expert communicator, Jessica has developed a broad range of materials that marry scientific concepts with target audiences. Jessica has also served in various positions of leadership including Executive Director of the INHIA, Secretary of the Board for the HFC and serving as proxy Vice President of the U.S. Hemp Farming Alliance. Jessica has successfully assisted in writing applications for new feed ingredients for FDA-CVM and state level applications. Jessica has experience in connecting food and feed ingredients to the marketplace to develop supply chains, proof of concept and generate successful commercial projects. She is a gifted speaker who enjoys educating and engaging curious audiences. She is an innovation enthusiast who believes people can use what they already have to accomplish things they have never done.
